Ethics?

One thing that I saw recently that's been stuck in my head is a Bill O'Reilly segment where he tried to prove God and at the same time discredit scientific advancements and research. His one and only argument the entire time was "Yes, the moon controls the tides of the ocean, but who put it there? How did it get there?" It stuck in my head because I just couldn't believe the sheer ignorance and stupidity of his argument. I honestly could not comprehend how anyone can actually take this as legitimate proof. What enflamed me so much is not that someone like this only has a voice, and a strong one at that, in our society, but for every reasonable individual out there, there are just as many if not more people that take words like that as truth. I wouldn't say it showed anything new to me, just reaffirmed my reasons for not liking this guy. What makes me sad is that people like this actually have loyal followings, and that makes me lose a lot of hope in our society and the world. What this whole thing has to do with ethics of media is whether we want information like this spread as truth (and apparently believed, too). America is already stereotyped around the world as being full of idiots. Please, let's not encourage that.
Personally, I don't really believe there is such a thing as unethical media,
